2005-2014 2-Axle Kit: front and rear, free pigtails
Both axles plus free rear pigtails: shock and ride height simulators for 2005-2014 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon, and 2007-2013 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ with factory AutoRide or MagneRide, whether the glove box label says Z55 or Z95.
The M&P USA Z55 2-axle kit (our 2005-2014 2-Axle Kit) converts both axles of a 2005-2014 GM truck or SUV in one box, with the rear pigtails included free. It is two of our 2005-2014 Kit, the MagneRide bypass for older-style plugs, plus our Pigtail Set, for less than buying them separately. It lets you replace the factory AutoRide or MagneRide shocks, including worn-out rear air-ride shocks, with standard passive shocks or coilovers without the “Service Suspension System” warning or fault codes.
You get 4 shock simulators, 4 ride height sensor simulators, adapters for side-by-side plugs, and 2 rear pigtails with waterproof heat-shrink crimp connectors. The front plugs straight into the factory connectors; most rear shocks have a rear-only plug that uses the included pigtails, spliced in. Made in the USA by a certified veteran-owned company and backed by our lifetime warranty.
The short answer
- Right kit for 2005-2014 models with factory electronic shocks: Escalade, ESV, and EXT, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, and Yukon Denali, and the 2007-2013 Avalanche LTZ, whether the glove box label says Z55 or Z95.
- One kit, both axles, pigtails free. Costs less than buying two single kits. Only doing one axle? Get the 2005-2014 Kit.
- Front plugs in; most rears use the included pigtails, spliced onto the rear wires (wire stripper, crimper, and heat gun needed). Side-by-side latches on your rear plug? Use the included adapter instead.
- 2015-2020 model? Use our 2015-2020 2-Axle Kit. Need more detail? Read our Z55 MagneRide bypass guide.

Is this the right Z55 2-axle kit?
Use this Z55 2-axle kit if you have a 2005-2014 GM truck or SUV with factory AutoRide or MagneRide (see the fitment table below) and you are replacing the factory shocks on both the front and rear axles.
Use a different kit if
- You’re converting only one axle: use our 2005-2014 Kit. Converting only the rear? Add the Pigtail Set.
- Your vehicle is a car (Corvette C6, CTS, CTS-V, XLR, STS, DTS): use our 1997-2012 Car Kit. Cars at stock ride height don’t need ride height simulators. If your car is lowered or raised outside the factory range, some models need them, so contact us first.
- Your SUV or truck is a 2015-2020 model (or a 2015-2018 Sierra 1500 Denali): use our 2015-2020 2-Axle Kit.
- Your SUV is a 2021-2023 model: use our 2021-2023 2-Axle Kit.
Not sure which kit you need? Match your plugs to the Check your plugs photo below, use our Find My Kit tool, or send us your year, make, and model and we’ll confirm the right kit before you order.
Check your plugs
Pick by model year and plugs, not the label. Older-style plugs (the left column) take this 2005-2014 2-Axle Kit, even when the glove box label says Z95. Newer-style plugs take our 2015-2020 2-Axle Kit. Plugs don’t match either one? Send us a message before you order.

Before you buy parts, enter your VIN in the NHTSA recall lookup to check for open safety recalls; recall repairs are free at a dealer.
Both axles in one box, rear pigtails free
This Z55 2-axle kit covers the front AND rear axles, so you need only one. The 2 rear pigtails are included at no charge, and the kit costs less than buying two 2005-2014 Kit singles. The front plugs straight into the factory connectors. Most rear shocks have a rear-only 2-pin plug, so the included pigtails are spliced onto the rear wires. If your rear plug has side-by-side latches, use the included adapter instead.

What’s included

- 4 shock simulators (also called delete modules): replace the electronic signal from the factory shocks so the suspension module sees a normal system.
- 4 ride height simulators: keep the ride height sensor circuits reading normally. GM trucks and SUVs with this system require these to prevent suspension fault codes.
- adapters for shock plugs with side-by-side latches.
- Zip ties for mounting, plus printed installation instructions.
- 2 rear pigtails, free (the same parts as our Pigtail Set), with waterproof heat-shrink crimp connectors.

How to install the Z55 2-axle kit
- 1Install the ride height simulators first. With the vehicle off and safely raised, release the locking tab on each factory ride height sensor connector, unplug it, and plug in a 3-pin ride height simulator until it clicks.
- 2Cycle the power. Turn the vehicle on for 30 seconds, then off, so the suspension module reads the new ride height.
- 3Install the front shock simulators. Unplug the 2-pin connector from each front shock and plug in a shock simulator until it clicks.
- 4Install the rear shock simulators. On rear shocks with the rear-only plug, cut off the factory connector, splice an included pigtail onto the factory wires with the heat-shrink crimp connectors, heat-seal them, then plug in the simulator. On plugs with side-by-side latches, use the included adapter instead.
- 5Secure everything. Zip-tie the ride height simulators through their mounting hole and the shock simulators around their neck. Mount every part to a metal surface, away from the exhaust, and not against plastic wire loom or wiring.
- 6Lower the vehicle, clear codes, and trim. With all four wheels on the ground, start the vehicle. Suspension codes clear within up to 40 ignition cycles, with a scan tool, or by disconnecting the battery for at least 30 minutes. Then perform a Ride Height Trim Procedure with a scan tool: required on GMC Denali models and recommended on all other vehicles. Any mechanic or dealership can do it in a few minutes.
We recommend installation by a certified technician. Full printed instructions are included with every kit. Questions during installation? Contact us.

Frequently asked questions
Which vehicles does the Z55 2-axle kit fit?
2005-2014 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, and Escalade EXT (EXT through 2013), Chevrolet (Chevy) Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, and Yukon Denali, and 2007-2013 Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ with factory AutoRide or MagneRide, whether the glove box label says Z55 or Z95. 2009-2013 Yukon Denali Hybrid: message us first.
What’s the difference between AutoRide and MagneRide?
Both are GM electronic suspension systems with sensor-monitored shocks. On 2005-2014 GM trucks and SUVs, the glove box label can say Z55 (AutoRide) or Z95 (MagneRide), but both use the older-style plugs, so both take the 2005-2014 kits. 2015-2020 models use newer-style plugs and take our 2015-2020 2-Axle Kit. People often call both systems MagneRide.
Are the pigtails really included?
Yes. The 2 rear pigtails, the same parts as our Pigtail Set, come in the box with the Z55 2-axle kit at no extra charge, with waterproof heat-shrink crimp connectors.
Do I have to cut any wires?
Only at the rear on shocks with the rear-only plug, where you splice on the included pigtails. You’ll need a wire stripper, crimping tool, and heat gun. If your rear plug has side-by-side latches, the included adapter works instead and no cutting is needed. The front and the ride height sensors plug straight in.
Does it work with rear air suspension (air ride)?
Yes. Many customers use our 2005-2014 kits when replacing worn-out rear air shocks with standard shocks or coilovers. If you switch to non-air rear shocks, you can generally pull the fuse or the relay for the leveling compressor once the bypass is installed; leave the compressor itself plugged in.
Why does my dashboard say “Service Suspension System”?
The suspension module monitors every shock and ride height sensor. When a shock fails or is replaced with a standard shock, the module loses the signal it expects and sets the warning. The simulators in the Z55 2-axle kit give the module the signals it expects, so the warning clears once the codes are cleared.
Can I use it with a lift or leveling kit?
Yes. Customers have installed our 2005-2014 kits with leveling kits, lift kits, and lowering kits. The ride height simulators send the module a steady, normal reading, so the height change does not set suspension codes.
Do I need one kit or two?
One. The Z55 2-axle kit already covers both the front and rear axles. If you’re converting only one axle, use our 2005-2014 Kit instead.
Will it work on my Corvette or CTS?
No. Cars use our 1997-2012 Car Kit instead. Cars at stock ride height don’t need ride height simulators.
Still not sure this is your kit?
