Z55 ride height sensor simulator 2-pack
2 plug-and-play ride height simulators for one axle (front OR rear) of 2005-2014 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Sierra Denali with Z55 AutoRide. 2013-2014 owners: check your glove box code.
The M&P USA Z55 ride height sensor simulator 2-pack gives you 2 plug-and-play ride height simulators for one axle (front OR rear) of a 2005-2012 GM truck or SUV with the Z55 AutoRide (MagneRide) system. Each Z55 ride height sensor simulator plugs into a factory 3-pin ride height sensor connector and sends the suspension module a steady, normal ride height reading, which helps prevent the “Service Suspension System” warning and suspension fault codes.
Replacing the shocks too? You also need shock simulators, which come with our complete Z55 bypass kit and Z55 2-axle kit. Designed by a US Marine Corps veteran electrical engineer, made in the USA, and backed by our lifetime warranty.
The short answer
- Ride height simulators only, for one axle (front OR rear). For both axles, choose the Z55 ride height simulator 4-pack.
- Right part if your glove box label shows Z55 on a 2005-2012 Escalade, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, or Sierra Denali. 2013-2014 models can be Z55 or Z95, so check the label first (see below).
- Replacing the shocks too? Get a complete kit instead: the Z55 bypass kit (one axle) or Z55 2-axle kit (both axles, pigtails free).
- Keeping rear air ride? Leave the rear ride height sensors connected (see below). More detail in our Z55 MagneRide bypass guide.

Is this the right Z55 ride height sensor simulator 2-pack?
Use this Z55 ride height sensor simulator 2-pack if you have a 2005-2012 GM truck or SUV with the Z55 AutoRide package (see the fitment table below) and you need only the ride height simulators for one axle (front OR rear).
Get a complete kit instead if
- You’re also replacing the shocks: our Z55 bypass kit includes 2 shock simulators and 2 ride height simulators for one axle, and our Z55 2-axle kit covers both axles with the rear pigtails included free.
- Your SUV or truck is a 2015-2020 model with Z95 MagneRide: use our Z95/Z45 ride height 2-pack or 4-pack, or the complete Z95 kit.
- Your SUV is a 2021-2023 model: use the Z95/Z45 ride height 2-pack or the complete Z45 kit.
- Your vehicle is a car (Corvette C6, CTS, XLR, STS, DTS): cars at stock ride height don’t need ride height simulators; use our 1997-2012 strut bypass kit, and contact us first if your car is lowered or raised.
Not sure? Use our Find My Kit tool or send us your year, make, and model and we’ll confirm the right part before you order.
Before you buy parts, enter your VIN in the NHTSA recall lookup to check for open safety recalls; recall repairs are free at a dealer.
Rear air ride? Read this first
The rear ride height sensors control Automatic Level Control. To keep auto leveling working with rear air shocks, leave the rear ride height sensors connected. Contact us if you’re not sure which sensors to replace.
2013 or 2014 model? Check your code
GM used both Z55 AutoRide and Z95 MagneRide during 2013 and 2014. Check the Service Parts Identification label in your glove box for Z55 (use this pack) or Z95 (use the Z95/Z45 ride height 2-pack), or send us your VIN and we’ll confirm the right part before you order.
What’s included

- 2 ride height simulators with the factory-style 3-pin connector: each Z55 ride height sensor simulator replaces the signal from a ride height sensor so the suspension module sees a normal ride height.
- Zip ties for mounting, plus printed installation instructions.

How to install the Z55 ride height sensor simulators
- 1Unplug the sensor. With the vehicle off and safely raised, release the locking tab on the factory ride height sensor connector and unplug it.
- 2Plug in the simulator. Plug a 3-pin Z55 ride height sensor simulator into the factory connector until it clicks.
- 3Cycle the power. Turn the vehicle on for 30 seconds, then off, so the suspension module reads the new ride height.
- 4Secure it. Zip-tie each simulator through its mounting hole, away from the exhaust and other heat sources, and not against plastic wire loom or wiring. A metal surface is best.
- 5Lower the vehicle, clear codes, and trim. With all four wheels on the ground, start the vehicle. Suspension codes clear within up to 40 ignition cycles, with a scan tool, or by disconnecting the battery for at least 30 minutes. Then perform a Ride Height Trim Procedure with a scan tool: required on GMC Denali models and recommended on all other vehicles.
We recommend installation by a certified technician. Full printed instructions are included. Questions during installation? Contact us.

Frequently asked questions
Which vehicles does the Z55 ride height sensor simulator 2-pack fit?
2005-2012 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, and Escalade EXT, Chevrolet (Chevy) Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon Denali, and GMC Sierra Denali with the Z55 AutoRide package, plus 2013-2014 models whose glove box label shows Z55.
Does this include shock simulators?
No, this pack is ride height simulators only. If you’re also replacing the shocks, get our Z55 bypass kit (one axle) or Z55 2-axle kit (both axles, pigtails free), which include both.
How many do I need?
Each Z55 ride height sensor simulator replaces one sensor. Two cover one axle (front or rear); four cover both axles. This pack covers one axle (front OR rear).
What do ride height simulators do?
GM trucks and SUVs with this system monitor ride height sensors along with the shocks. A Z55 ride height sensor simulator sends the module a steady, normal reading in place of the sensor, so the change does not set suspension codes.
Will auto leveling still work with rear air ride?
To keep Automatic Level Control working with rear air shocks, leave the rear ride height sensors connected. Contact us if you’re not sure.
Can I use these with a lift or leveling kit?
Yes. Customers have used our Z55 ride height sensor simulators with leveling and lift kits. The simulators send a steady, normal reading, so the height change does not set suspension codes.
Is my 2013 or 2014 truck Z55 or Z95?
It could be either. Check the Service Parts Identification label in your glove box, or send us your VIN and we’ll tell you which part fits.
Still not sure this is the right part?
Use Find My Kit, read the Z55 guide, or send us your VIN and a real person will confirm the right part before you order.
